The Augustus Bridge is one of many bridges that connect the north bank with the Old Town of Dresden. But it's probably the only one with perfect views of all of the old town, not to mention the great views over the River Elbe. From afar, the bridge looks magnificent by day and beautifully lit up at night. Close up, it's not so nice because of renovation work that cover virtually all of the bridge.

Still under renovation but a great bridge to see all the old buildings. It's a pity that only one side of the road is open to public. Can't take photos from another side.

The shortest and most scenic bridge among all in Dresden. Unfortunately it's in construction but still you can walk cross the bridge and enjoy the view. In the night of New year Eve you can see the beautiful fireworks all over the city. It has a nice Biergarten just the end of the bridge with amazing view of Elbe River. At night it's the most live place.

If you walk across the bridge in direction to the Neustadt you would have this views with Semperoper behind you
