This fountain just north of Albertplatz is called the Artesian Apparently the fountain was built because it was the site of an artesian well, but never fulfilled its purpose of providing drinking water because the well pressure was to low to provide enough water.

The fountain features a classically inspired monopteros as it's centrepiece, surrounded by a large circular basin about 2 metres in radius. There are I think plenty of goldfish in the basin. They look well fed.

Okay to take a quick look of you have time, but don't bother otherwise.
