Arrived at 8:30pm, but apparently the kitchen was closed even though the place is open until 11pm. I was told that the kitchen made meals for 4 tables at 8pm and then closed? The hours need to reflect the fact that it does not serve food after 8:30pm.

A good place to wait a long time for a beer refill, if that's what you are into. Do not sit outside if you want any kind of consistent service.

Good place for dinner. Waiter was very friendly and patient with my broken German. The house lemonade was amazing! Also had the Weiner schnitzel with salad which was great. Great quiet location to sit outside for dinner.

This is a great restaurant! Great beer and wine selection!
The food is great! I have tried a couple of items on their menu now. The chicken ceasar salad with garlic bread was outstanding!!
The one pork item (the special) with broccoli, carrots and cauliflower is awesome!
The new York style Pastrami was pretty good too!

Everyone was generally pleased with their food, though I think we all agreed that we were still hungry, and I found my schnitzel and potatoes to be lacking in flavor as well as quantity. The only decoration or accompaniment the meal had was salt pepper and a lemon wedge. That said, the price was right, the worker was more than helpful, and the environment was gemütlich

The owner is very ill mannered, rude and rasict. Please have a look at his response to my rating below and I write this review after his response. I hosted two parties and had one bad and one good experience and decided on a 3 stars rating. The owner earlier wrote me a nasty rude email and now for the rating wrote "Akanksha .... You were 3 times with us and expect, for ... €, things that may work in India - but not here in Germany, and certainly not if you have to pay for it and not the dad. I hope that you will understand this in a timely manner. Please don't come back". I maintain that the place is nice and teh food is good for whichi had rated the 3 stars. However the minus 4 stars are now for the owner as I do not support a resturant where the hosts are racist and request people to reconsider before eating there.

The homemade schnitzel is the best I’ve ever had in Germany. Family run and the staff is friendly. This place alone makes me want to come back to Dresden.
