Another "meh" place in the long list of boring eco lifestyle joints trying to impress by offering healthy and green food options.
Honestly, the food options are limited which is not a bad thing at all however it's the same kind of food I could also prepare in my tiny kitchen at home. Nothing special to drool over.

My recommendation for guests:
Maybe stop by only for a coffee but check out other food options nearby.

My recommendation for the owner:
Stick to your main field of business creating "accessories for adventure seeking world travelers"

Located directly on the Rhine and the old harbor cranes, "The Hub" with its outdoor seating offers a wonderful view of the river and the opposite bank of the Rhine. The interior also knows how to convince with its style, but appeals to a younger audience. If you want to drive to the restaurant, which probably applies to at least, you have to be content with the parking garage under the Rheinauhafen in the absence of parking spaces or switch to the neighboring Südstadt.

The menu is short and clear, but is supplemented by daily and weekly specials. Since no evening menu is offered or the restaurant closes in the afternoon, I think I can confidently speak of a menu that is sufficient for lunch.

There was little to complain about in terms of taste of the dishes chosen (see photos). The pulled pork sandwich was maybe a little too fruity, but that is a matter of taste. The other dishes were also convincing except for the little things. You always get the dish itself, but it would be great to get a small side dish for the price - and be it just a few nachos.

In terms of price, we are within a range that is still okay for lunch. It's not cheap, but neither is it too expensive for the location. If you really want to save money, go to the other side of the Agrippinaufer and find what you are looking for in the southern part of the city.

The service was not rated due to the self-service.

Conclusion: If you want to spend your lunch break with a view of the Rhine and don't want to dig deep into your pocket, this is definitely the right place.

Prädikat: Hier isst man an der Spitze

Direkt am Rhein und den alten Hafenkränen gelegen bietet das "The Hub" mit seiner Außenbestuhlung eine wunderbare Aussicht auf den Fluss und die gegenüberliegende Rheinseite. Auch die Innenausstattung weiß mit ihrem Stil durchaus zu überzeugen, spricht aber eher ein jüngeres Publikum an. Wer mit dem Auto zum Restaurant möchte, was vermutlich auf die wenigstens zutrifft, muss sich allerdings in Ermangelung von Parkplätzen mit dem Parkhaus unter dem Rheinauhafen begnügen oder in die benachbarte Südstadt ausweichen.

Die Karte ist kurz und übersichtlich, wird allerdings durch Tages- und Wochengerichte ergänzt. Da keine Abendkarte angeboten wird bzw das Restaurant nachmittags schließt, kann man hier glaube ich getrost von einer für den Mittagstisch ausreichende Karte sprechen.

Geschmacklich gab es an den gewählten Gerichten (siehe Fotos) wenig auszusetzen. Das Pulled Pork Sandwich war vielleicht ein wenig zu fruchtig, was aber Geschmackssache ist. Die weiteren Gerichte wussten ebenfalls bis auf Kleinigkeiten zu überzeugen. Man bekommt immer das Gericht an sich, aber toll wäre es für den Preis noch eine kleine Beilage zu bekommen - und seien es einfach ein paar Nachos.

Preislich bewegen wir uns in einem Rahmen, der für Mittagstisch noch in Ordnung ist. Es ist nicht günstig, aber auch nicht zu teuer für diese Lage. Wer wirklich Geld sparen möchte, geht sicher auf die andere Seite des Agrippinaufers und wird in der Südstadt fündig.

Der Service wurde aufgrund der Selbstbedienung nicht bewertet.

Fazit: Wer mit Blick auf den Rhein seine Mittagspause verbringen und dabei nicht zu tief in die Tasche greifen möchte, ist hier sicherlich richtig.

Portions and prices are okay, and the processed foods seem quite fresh. But unfortunately it tastes quite boring. The salad dressing was a bit too watery and the sumac chicken tasted very purist just like chicken. I had to season a lot. If sumac was present in the kitchen, then it has definitely kept the 2m Corona distance to the chicken ... To taste a little bolder would be great. Overall, I would say you can't go wrong with a quick lunch there. But you don't miss anything if you don't.

Freundliches Personal, Sitzplätze im Freien, moderne Stayfit-Küche. Es ist eben einer dieser Lifestyle Orte. Alle sind super drauf, man sitzt sehr nett und es gibt gesundes Essen. Portionen und Preise sind okay und die verarbeiteten Lebensmittel scheinen durchaus frisch zu sein. Aber es schmeckt leider recht langweilig. Das Salatdressing war etwas zu wässrig und das Sumach Hühnchen schmeckte sehr puristisch einfach nur nach Huhn. Ich musste kräftig nachwürzen. Sollte Sumach in der Küche anwesend gewesen sein, dann hat es ganz sicher den 2m Corona Abstand zum Huhn eingehalten ... . Etwas mutiger abschmecken wäre toll. Insgesamt würde ich sagen, man macht sicher nichts falsch, wenn man sich mal ein schnelles Mittagessen dort gönnt. Aber man verpasst auch nichts, wenn man es lässt.
