The KAP686 Skateplaza is exactly what the name implies, a “Skateplaza”. You won’t find any quarters or smooth transition here. What you will find however are tons of ledges (all heights and shapes) some very interestingly designed rails, manual pads (different lengths, sizes, and at angles), and some small two stairs! The ground is smooth, but grippy. All the ledges and rails are buttery smooth.

It’s quite full during peak times, but still loads of fun to skate!

I went there at about 2pm in Juli and I wouldn't recommend that time during summer because it was incredibly hot and bright. The park doesn't look like your standard skate park if you enjoy ledges you will probably love it.

Good space. Good sessionable humps sliders grinders concrete steps and coping. Banks. No transitions but mainly a street space with all the goodness you need. Good for all levels and safe.

Its really a great idea to give some skaters more space in Cologne.
Its located after the Beach Volley Ball place just across the latest big building at the Rheinauhafen Complex where the Restaurant Kap am Kai is situated.
I think its first opened was somewhere late 2011 or early 2012.
The venue itself stil looks new and well maintananced -and its for 0€!

Great big skatepark. Nice crowd. Not covered so when it rains, that's it. Also, the ramps etc. are more for experienced skaters.
