We had a guide for Koln and it was interesting to learn the stories behind the buildings, people and events before and after the Second World War. A beautiful city worth visiting!

Amazing building from the outside, but I was disappointed that they only allowed you on the first floor Rich really didn't show you much of the building. Perhaps they just weren't showing the whole building at that time but not speaking German it was difficult for me survey the situation

The town hall in Cologne is famous for its loggia, the Renaissance façadeu200b and is beautiful. It is Germany's oldest city hall with a documented history spanning some 900 years. During the bombing the entire city hall was destroyed except for the front portion and part of the tower, the remaining part being rebuilt in modern style.

Custom building for the town hall. Although of course this is only the old part, namely the tower, everything else is not the most striking modern part. But in Germany you expect to see something like Munich, Vernigorod or, in extreme cases, the Weimar town hall. And here is almost a castle. )

After the Cathedral, this beautiful medieval building is the major attraction of Cologne.

It's a working town hall, in fact when I went there was a wedding party outside, and an extension with modern architecture is juxtaposed to the medieval part.
