Clearly aims for a German audience only. Songs were quite old, the DJ wasn't the worst but you could see he had no taste.
The drinks were okay-ish, but the club smelled awful so I couldn't really enjoy them either.
I'm giving 2 stars because I liked the payment method, they give you a card and they put your expenses there, then when you leave you pay the whole thing (like in festivals).

Had the best time here! Beer is cheap on Mondays which is a great night for students. You have to pay afterwards so be aware of that. Great place.

Tried to get in yesterday with a couple of friends around 2 A.M. We waited in the line as usual and when it finally came our turn to go inside, the bouncers told us no more people would be admitted inside.

Well naturally we felt disappointed, stepped aside and saw as the girls that were behind us in the line were admitted inside without a second glance. After them there was a group of guys and they were also admitted instantly.

We tried to ask for some sort of explanation from the bouncers, but got none. We weren't different from the other customers, not too drunk etc.

In the end we left for another place and got in without a hazzle. I am writing this to give a heads up for any foreigner who wants to go to Roonburg. You are likely to get treated disrespectfully and looking at other reviews of the place this seems to be the standard rather than the exception. Such a shame.

Racist! , smiled from across the road heard our voices and saw our ID’s and said in perfect English , “no English”. We weren’t drunk just looking for a good night , sad this is still the case.

Not for foreign men. Waited in a line for an hour and we were gold that they din't take anyone in. The next persons sie get in. So take your chases or go somewhere else ????

Local bar with strict entry policy based on appearances and what language you speak. Felt very xenophobic and racist at times.

We met a group of Germans while looking for another bar. They suggested we come with them here. The Germans showed their ID and entered. The door man looked us up and down and said "no". We were confused and said we were with the German group and once they confirmed the door man asked where we were from. Canada... Ohhh ok. Inside the music was mostly 2000s pop with a large koreokee screen. Every few songs was what the group described to me as "Cologne folk anthem" and everyone chanted together with perfect pitch and sync. Spend the night talking to many of the club patrons all of which displayed varying levels of hesitation before engaging in full out conversation once convinced we were Canadians. Always wanting to know our ethnicity and then challenging our responses.

Anyways giving it a two stars because the group who brought us there was genuinely interested in showing us a great time. They introduced us to many of their friends etc.
