Fine stay for a night in Cologne, but I wouldn't recommend staying in this place for any longer than that. The room hadn't been cleaned that well (lots of dust, a dead wasp on the ground, dirty walls and curtains, etc). There are no facilities or breakfast options - no kitchenette nor breakfast hall, no (bi-)daily cleaning. However the price is not lower than that of the nearby hotels. Moreover: no way of cooling the room in the summer, no insect screens for the windows, no elevator to get your luggage to the second floor, quite a small room, weird smell in both the room and bathroom. All in all fine for a night but not comfortable to stay in any longer. Location is also not great. Wifi signal works but is very weak.

The bed was comfortable though!

The place is well-kept and furnished.

The apartment building is located in a not-so-touristy area, so you get to feel like you are living among the locals.

The owners are very accommodating; very easy to communicate with them throughout the duration of our trip. They provided us with the basic necessities, plus the room itself is very clean and comfortable.

The train, cathedral, restaurants and stores are within walking distance, so you get to save up on cab rides. They are also 15 minutes away from the airport, so very easy travelling overall.

Looking forward to my next trip to Cologne!

Great price performance!
We spent the weekend in Cologne as a couple. And we can only say thank you. The check-in was fast and comfortable thanks to a modern PIN system. The room was great, even rain shower in the bathroom.
Very customer-oriented staff that helps you anytime when you call! My complaint was immediately solved positively.
Next time we will be happy to book with you again ????

The hotel is fantastic because it’s cozy, clean, and stylish. It is also a perfect place for introverts because of its high-tech check-in service that doesn’t require talking to any staff. I recommend this hotel to my relatives and friends since it is near to trade fair centers. Honestly, I really liked their excellent customer service, security, and attention to detail. I look forward to staying here again on my next trip!

I really enjoyed my stay at Refugium de luxe. The place is very clean and peaceful. I had a chance to relax and enjoy my short business trip. I loved the bed, bathroom, and nice appliances. It reminded me of my home, so I was able to enjoy my stay! Definitely, I recommend this awesome hotel to everyone.

Hospitality at its finest! We had a last minute trip to Cologne, and we forgot to bring a lot of things. The apartment had everything we needed --- hairdryer, iron board, and a lot of towels. Their coffee's real good too!
We didn't have much time to cook, so we are grateful for the restaurant recommendations given by the owners. They take good care of their guests... they make you feel like you are staying with family.
Going to the Cologne Cathedral and Chocolate Museum were highlights of our visit. Both are very near the apartment. You can do a lot of shopping in the Schildergasse area.
Don't forget to try out Kölsch beer, Mettbrötchen, and Himmel un Ääd when you are in Cologne!

One of the most beautiful experiences - cozy and in the same time with fantastic light from the roof windows. Hospitality in capital letters! I think this is fantastic for anyone who wants a space and time to think or even just for a romantic getaway!
