Such a great free parking spot to explore the city of Cologne. Close to the Autobahn and the Heinrich Lubke ufer tram station is just adjacent to q this spot and it costs 2.85 Eur to go to the city one way from here. If you're exploring Cologne during the weekend, the best decision you would make is to park here, and explore the city with public transport, though you don't need much once you're in the city. We parked here for a day during the carnival. Saturday morning still had a few free spots but the parking on Sunday was full, maybe it was because of the carnival. But there are atleast about 50-70 spots. It is unguarded and open completely free parking and looks very safe.

Great parking spot with a train and bus stop right by the car park. Was very full at 10am on a Thursday, but we managed to get a spot, with bikes on a trailer. We were please to find the bikes still there when we got back.
For non locals - you get train tickets on the train!
Was a bit tricky to get back onto Autoroute 4 due to heavy traffic, but we managed to follow our noses into Cologne and pick up our route out again

It's convenient place to park your car free of charge, while you can visit Colone center by your bike or public transportation. Bike ride along the Rhine river is fun.

Well positioned and very clean parking space. Adjacent to public transport station, and usually a lot of free spaces. No streetlights on the lot, and no supervision/cctv though. Also no cost and no ticket needed. Please note, that there are no workers on site and cars can be approached by pedestrians without hindrance.

I have to give this a one star as a warning.
Currently sitting in my car after it has been broken into and ransacked. Not ideal. When the police came we saw two other cars that have also been broken into. These thieves aren't the smartest in the world ( they've thankfully only gone for the shiny things) but it seems like it was planned and my car was selected. Please be wary everyone.

Left the car for 5 days, no issues. Easy to get to the town centre via tram
