We looked up info about the parking and found that it was 2.5€ per day, even free if you show you tickets of the tram. When arrived we looked for a service point, however on Sunday there was nobody there. Nowhere was info provided what to do, what the rules are. When going back home after 36 hours, the lady at the service point (older, very short grey hair) gave us a fine because we were not allowed to stay longer than 24h. I explained her that there was nobody here on Sunday, that we did not find any explanation in universal language, there were no signs or parkmeters, no working telephone number to contact. However, she said that on a sign below there was a small sentence in German that said that you are fined after 24h and that we are in Germany so that we should talk German….. (?!) If I had lied about our arrival and said Monday it would have been fine, because there was nobody there. I think the lady had a really bad day, did not appreciate our honesty, and ignored the fact that there was literally NOBODY in the servicepoint upon arrival. We made every effort to ask what was allowed when we arrived, however the lady just was really unfriendly and clearly would not listen.
