We did our booking in a different hotel from the same chain (Dom Hotel) but at the last moment they changed our booking to the LOFT am Ring without explanation.
The person who “greet us” in the reception was not very open to our question, just told us that we had an “upgrade” in our booking.
To arrive in our room on the 3rd floor we had to walk as in a labyrinth with several doors, no problem until there.
The room was big with a lot of “technology “ implemented but :
- bad quality of the mattresses - difficult to sleep in the evening,
- the temperature inside the room was so warm that we had the impression that the heater was working the whole time,
- the drain from the shower was not working and we had to report that.
- no air conditioning - if you want to sleep in the evening you need to keep the windows open to have some fresh air, but then you will not sleep because right below our room has a Shisha Bar and people talking loudly and smoking a lot.
The option you have is: either fresh wind but with loud noise or no noise and warm room.
Definitely NOT recommended!

I couldn't get to sleep because of the really noisy room. I knew that it could be a little bit louder in this central part of the city but hadn't expect this! Loud door slamming, music playing, people hanging around in front of my door, smoking, chatting, barping. Seems more like Party Hostel for young people.
Wouldn't recommend it to my friends.... :(

Rooms were clean.

(Translated by Google) Nice little hotel in a good location! The room could be reached via the portico on the courtyard side. The room was smaller than we had imagined ... but otherwise clean and modern with a mini fridge, TV and coffee maker. Breakfast was available at the nearby Starbucks. All in all quite sufficient. Price has to be seen in connection with the city center location.

Nettes kleines Hotel in guter Lage! Alles in allem durchaus ausreichend.

(Translated by Google) The hotel is very centrally located (+) and is apparently relatively new and not yet completely finished (which as a guest you don't really notice!).

Two of us were accommodated in a really, very, very small “double room”. The bed just fit in here, which was already relatively small for my wife and me (we are both around 170 cm tall). -

However, the room was very modern, everything worked and a bottle of water, as well as tea and coffee were included. +

Unfortunately, some surfaces seem to have rarely been cleaned of dust. -

You get a Starbucks voucher for breakfast. In itself very cool, unfortunately the Starbucks was sold out, so we had to get something to eat at the bakery in the city center. However, the hotel offered us to refund the voucher without any problems.

Parking seems to be relatively expensive in Cologne. We had parked our car in the recommended parking garage and had to pay around € 40 for two nights. We come from Hamburg and are used to grief, but it is still worth mentioning (it was not included in the evaluation, it is only for information).

All in all, from my point of view, this hotel is suitable for one or two nights. For a longer stay I would no longer stay here.
