Easy to miss and walk right by- but worth the few seconds to stop and marvel the size and scope of this spire top.

This model of one of the spires of the cathedral really gives you a sense of the immense engineering required to build the cathedral. The model is a replica, the same size as the one of top of the cathedral and truly monumental for tis size.

It's design after a finial which is a flower-like ornament made of natural stone on gothic or neo-Gothic buildings. Seen from above, it is square and in lateral view, it is cross-shaped.

It was erected on March 18 of 1980 in front of the Cathedral. Kreuzblume as a "monument of the cathedral completion".

Entirely missable, this replica of the very tips of Der Dom is a really nice touch, giving you an idea of the immensity of Der Dom. After you do the steps up to the top of the Dom you can really appreciate how insane it is that this curch was built so long ago.

The design of this monument/statue is been built after the Kreuzblume plant which is finial. It is shaped like cross. it gives you an idea of der Dom. It is near the Cologne cathedral. Its style is quite gothic looking and it was built in mid 19th century. It's definitely enormous and eye-catching. Good place for photography point of view and also great place for tourists to visit.

beautiful architecture near cologne cathedral. Can be easily notice. On the edge of the Dom Square there is Kreuzblume, the old ornament built in mid 19th century. While a classic Gothic-style ornament, it bears resemblance to Neogothic as well.
