We stayed for one night. The reception staff were friendly, and the bedroom itself was clean and big. However we were in room 7 which was up 4 flights of stairs, which we didn't expect! The bed was very comfy and the bathroom small, but clean. Ten minutes walking distance to the Cathedral and train station. Would stay here again.

The pension is right in the center of the city. In 10 min you re at the cathedral, lots of really nice restaurants are reachable on foot and many clubs are at 1 station in S Bahn.
The common bathroom is clean; the room is quite big and pretty cute.
One drawback would be the very bad wifi.

Fair price-quality ratio. The rooms are relatively clean and neat, and the bathrooms, which are slightly small but also clean, are shared with the other guests. Breakfast is not included, but there are enough bakeries and supermarkets close by to buy this. The pension is very near train stations and the city center. The staff is friendly, but not exactly fluent in English, which might be difficult vor people who don't speak any German. A con is that the pension is located in a street with a busy nightlife and bright lights, but this can easily be solved by wearing earplugs and a sleepmask, if necessary.
If you expect what you pay for, it is a nice stay for not too much money.

This accommodation is in a noisy street in the Turkish sector of Köln. I asked for a quiet room when I prebooked but was allocated one overlooking the noisy street. There were no staff there when I arrived. I had been given a code for the "Digibox", which dispensed a keycard.

There were random drunks shouting from time to time during the night. The "Kult Koisk" store immediately opposite my window played music at full volume at 5:30am. I kid you not!

There is no reception so no chance of changing my room. I don't see how anyone can rate the staff as friendly when there is no one there? I am suspicious of fake reviews by the owners.

There were no instructions for the WiFi so I could not use it.

I almost always try to stay in the cheaper hotels and I expect to compromise on luxury. Unfortunately this hotel is just too awful at any price.

Clean and nice place, but it is far from the downtown. the district is sometimes strange and full of Turkish people, but they are interesting as well.

For short period or one night. Not far from city center, 50 meters to train station. 1 km to main station.
