Manche Zimmer sind zwar etwas kleiner, aber top sauber und auf aktuellem Stand eingerichtet. Auch gibt es noch eine Minibar auf dem Zimmer, deren Inhalt auch preislich erschwinglich ist.
Der Chef ist sehr nett, versorgt einen mit Informationen zum Parken oder Essen in der Nähe. Lommi ist gerade Mal 100 Meter entfernt. Zum Deutzer Bahnhof läuft man gemütlich 3-5 Minuten.

The comparatively small hotel is family-run by a very nice couple. We were welcomed and said goodbye in a super friendly manner by the host, who took a lot of time for an extensive welcome talk. The special request for an early check-in was gladly fulfilled. The rooms are very nice and modern, and above all super clean. In addition to a safe, the rooms have a minibar with a large selection of drinks and snacks at very reasonable prices, as well as some mineral water free of charge. Unfortunately, breakfast is currently not available. The location of the hotel is okay, right next to "Lommi" and you can walk to the cathedral, main station and Heumarkt in about 10 minutes. The hotel is definitely one of the best we have booked in Cologne for many years. If it's offered to us again at a good price, we'll happily buy it again.

Wir waren übers Wochenende zum ersten Mal zu Gast im Hotel Merlin in Köln, und können dieses Haus absolut weiterempfehlen. Das vergleichsweise kleine Hotel wird von einem sehr netten Ehepaar familiengeführt. Wir wurden hier super freundlich vom Gastgeber, der sich für uns viel Zeit für ein ausgiebiges Begrüßungsgespräch genommen hat, empfangen und verabschiedet. Der Sonderwunsch nach einem frühen CheckIn wurde uns gerne erfüllt. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön und modern eingerichtet, und vor allem super sauber. In den Zimmern gibt es neben einem Safe eine Minibar mit einer großen Auswahl an Getränken und Snacks zu sehr humanen Preisen, sowie kostenfrei etwas Mineralwasser. Frühstück wird aktuell leider nicht angeboten. Die Lage des Hotels ist in Ordnung, direkt neben "Lommi" gelegen erreicht man in ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß Dom, Hauptbahnhof und Heumarkt. Das Hotel ist definitiv eines der besten, die wir in vielen Jahren Köln bisher gebucht haben. Wenn es uns zu einem guten Preis wieder angeboten wird, werden wir gerne wieder zuschlagen.
