This is the worst hotel experience in my whole life. Receptionists are difficult to find or contact. When I find them and talk to them, they are always very indifferent and impatient. Terrible bed. Terrible kitchen. The washing machine is broken. My post sent to the hotel even has gone missing (it's been delivered by Deutsch post)! Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

At first look it is super super basic. But at the end everything worked out perfectly for me and 5 star considering the price/quality is super deserved. Be careful if you will get a room at the 4th floor with kitchen at the bottom. If you are not fit you will have hard time but for sure a great way to lose weight ????

Room is alright for the price you pay. Our room was really small and hot, rooms are not air conditioned. There was also no hot water in the shower. Location is great for a visit to the Lanxess Arena, some nice restaurants near the hotel as well.

If you only come to the hotel to sleep and not for additional luxury or comfort this hotel is fine!

We stayed in the studio room for one night and it was really nice. Beds were clean and comfortable. Bathroom was clean as well as roomy. No, there was no lift but that's not something a 4 story building in Germany will be equipped with so if stairs are difficult for you then try getting a room on a lower floor. Regarding the noise complaints in previous reviews, it was not an issue for us. All in all, this hotel was very nice as was the staff.

Rooms were cold, sink was broken, WC was Dark because thenloght bulb wasnt working
BUT, every morning clean towel, and sheets, water, 3/5 only because it was on a very nice street, close to messa Hall, and close to very good tasting kebabs!

This hotel is the worst experience I’ve ever had. I travel a lot, and myself I have been working for many years at the front desk in the hotel, but this is the first time I have encountered such a situation.
I came to Cologne for work and booked this hotel solely because of it’s proximity to the exhibition. The price is not high and I understand that this is a very simple place, I do not have any special expectations and claims. I looked at the photos of the rooms (on one of the famous e-commerce website, but booked directly on the hotel’s website, decided to save them a commission), it seemed to be clean with a lot of positive comments...On arrival, I was given a room on the third floor. Having risen and opened the door of the corridor, I already felt a sharp unpleasant smell and in the room it was just everywhere! The smell of mold so strongly permeated the room that it was simply impossible to breathe in it! Terribly dirty carpet, an old bathroom with a smell from the sewer, a shower in which I would not dare to wash without flip flops, a washbowl in the room... Physically it is just impossible to stay in this room and I sincerely do not understand how the hotel can sell a room that does not meet the sanitary standards. I went to the front desk, explained the situation and kindly asked to change the room. There were no more rooms in this category and I asked if there were any other rooms, I was ready to pay the difference in price. But to my surprise, the only solution on the part of the hotel was to book a new room (bigger one, but at the same price as the one that can not be lived in) as my room was booked at a non-refundable price! I understand there is the cancellation policy, but why should a room where you can't stay without risking your health be my problem? If there is no longer the same room available, shouldn't I get any other OK room in this situation? It is not a whim and I do not ask for a replacement because I do not like the color of the walls! I really think that this is unfair, the photos of rooms on the Internet are quite different and do not correspond to the horror that is actually here.
As a result, I had to pay for a room with mold as it was booked with a non-refundable rate and the full price for the second room, which at least has no carpet and you can breathe in it. Well, the mold in the bathroom is probably everywhere. There are no words, it is really my first negative review ever, I'm not a supporter of spoiling the reputation, but in this case I can not be silent.
Regarding breakfast I can’t say anything as it is my first and for sure the only one night here, I only know that it is outside in another building.

be careful !!

Nowhere has I been treated like this place. The list of reservations is very long. As a person responsible for delegations of employees in the company, I made a reservation, a room for one night for two people. When choosing a room, it is possible to choose the type of bed. I chose two single beds, because the guests were to be employees. Strangers to drivers who had a long tour of Europe behind them, and the next day they were going on another very long route. On booking confirmation, there was always the option of choosing a combination of beds. Unfortunately, I wrongly rewrote the credit card details and booking sent me a message that I have two hours to complete the data, and the reservation is still active. When the drivers arrived, cash was taken from them. Then the staff informed that the booking through booking was canceled. Seeing two adult men and the preferences of accommodation, the service completely ignored this and assigned a tiny room with one bed, overlooking the advanced construction works. To pay attention to the fact that it is supposed to be two single beds, the service reacted aggressively, saying that it was only a privilege and not an obligation to give the type of beds that were reserved.
Requests to pay the costs, of course, were completely rejected, a woman from the service even wanted to take the keys to the guests to go. Without paying money.
No interventions helped, including e-mails to the hotel. The justification was that they allocate beds according to availability and not booking. Apparently there were no other free rooms, at the same time it was possible to book beautiful, bright rooms with separate beds
The booking intervention was completely ignored, trying to slander the guests. They came up with a fairytale that they got a room with two single beds, but they did not like something and they gave up. Later they came back and there was no room left. Of course, after all, tired employees were disguising the color of the walls and the appearance of the room after hundreds of kilometers traveled.
High arrogance, sophisticated answers. The truth is, the hotel has swung to 41 euros
The service forced two strangers to themselves men to sleep with each other on one bed, which greatly limits human psychological and physical comfort. For a hotel it's completely normal. People are not respected, especially those from the east, which pay less money just to sleep and get to work.
I hope that the staff will feel once what it is like to be treated disrespectfully, like a worse person. Unworthy of human conditions.
Of course, I wanted to book another hotel for employees, but they finished their work too late with our clients so that they could change the hotel.
I wish you respect for people.
