A nice area with good restaurants and cafes to choose from. Only a 15 mins walk from the main station, or you can take the trams or buses instead.

Visited this place in the first week of December. Was about 6 degrees. Filled with a lot of food stalls which was part of the christmas market. The Christmas stalls themselves were there but fewer and I found the small items a bit expensive. Layout of stalls was good. Ice skating was well organized. Affordable €8 and skates were available for rent €6. Can bring your own skates. Locker facilities available but only small lockers for €1. Cannot hold a big backpack. Also had another game for those not wanting ice skating.

Beautiful square with lots of shops and restaurants. Minutes walk from tram or underground transit. Also very close to the main train station of Koln. (Koln - Altstadt - Nord).

Decent parking. Central location. Square itself isn't as exciting as others in the area but the location is a good start if you're driving into the city.
