Insane nice location, extremely poor execution!

Hour+ waiting lines to get in (they decided to scan the covid 19 pass with 2 people for the capacity of 6800+) this was at 22:30. 6 toilets for the guys (yes 6 toilets, not 6 toilet rooms, for 6800 people). Resulting in again massive waiting lines +- 20-30mins each toilet visit.
Drinks can only be bought cash (shame on you in 2021!!!) or 20€ limit order on a card.
Also no way to get cash inside. So what you have on you is what you can spend (its like they don't want to make money).
No system with tokens of digital tokens pure cash resulting in extremely slow bars (again they don't seem interested in making money).

With proper management this place could be insane, currently it's just a bad cash milking cow.
Minimize waiting lines, people waiting are not having fun and are not spending while waiting! Add digital tokens, give your loyal customers some discount when they top up from home. And triple your entrance checking, people inside are spending people outside are not!

Let's quickly do some math 1h to get in 3times 15min toilets and 7 8min bar visits (very conservative on the times here) gives us a waiting time off 2h40min on an event that happened from 22:30 - 4:00. So 2h:40min/5h:30min was spend waiting at least! That's a solid 50%!

Extremely disappointed in this German setup. I expected so much more from world class engineers.

Fancy event location in a remote area in Cologne.
Is an old industrial complex, that works as a discotheke sometimes but also as an event venue.

I was at a Whine Fest there, prices where middle range to expensive (10€ for a Flammkuchen that usually cost -5€ elsewhere).

In Candy Event köln they were not friendly especially that we paid for the entrance in internet and unfortunately we were not able to enter , its really wierd behavior!!

We are in 2021 and you can’t pay there with card. All others countries accept card payments but there, super beautiful, organise place, nice lights and sound system but you can’t pay by card. Guys wake up, it’s 2021 already going to 2022

The establishment offers good music and the personnel and manager are friendly.

Unfortunately it has the same problem as most clubs in Cologne, racism from the guests frequenting the place. As a black man talking to a girl (black or white) means that you should get prepared to get totally disrespected due to your ethnicity. Saying “Hello“ is enough to get insulted, pushed and sometimes even punched. The phobia towards black men in Cologne is so strong that white and black girls alike are racist towards black men.
This means you can pay like everyone else, dress elegantly and buy drinks but still be perceived as a dangerous criminal by the community. Which is sad. It shows a side of Cologne that stains all the good Cologne has to offer.
The manager and personnel tried to help as much as they could and for that I'm really thankful but this bad stereotype present in the Cologne community doesn't help.
I didn't want to point this out initially but if I stay silent people might get the wrong idea of nights out in Cologne... I did, and had to learn the lesson on my own skin.
