This is a very popular restaurant and considering the size of it service is great. A couple of waitresses are running the show and they're very cheerful and friendly. Kölsch is good, cold and served immediately. I had one pound bratwurst and oh my oh, it's a very large portion with the side of roasted potatoes and a salad. So keep that in mind before you order. I love spicy food but I found this one a bit salty and extra spicy. Spice and salt muted the taste of everything. Anyways, cool location for one time visit for tourists like myself.

Stopped in here in a whim and glad we did. The butchers plate special, crispy pork knee, schnitzel, u0026 bratwurst with sides of potatoes and sauerkraut was excellent! It was so much food that the four of us couldn’t finish it, as much as we wanted to! Love the beer hall feel, lively and welcoming!

The crispy pork leg was huge and crispy, yet juicy on the inside. Too much for 1 person really. The food takes around 45 minutes if it's peak time. There was some street music while we ate which was nice. It would have been 5 star if the waiter suggested we shared the pork leg and ordered something different, but when my girlfriend said she wanted a smaller version and ordered that he didn't think to suggest to share mine. Also it felt slow to come out (but that's just Europe in general)

Stunning food and setting. Couldn't quite believe how much food they serve to the giant venue and yet, impeccably made. Every item was delicious and brought out fast.
Highly recommend the Pork Knuckle which a friend had, and the Sausage (pictured).

I love this restaurant. It has everything I want: good location, fast service, you can choose to sit outdoor or indoor, great beers, amazing food, and especially the excellent waiter who is super friendly, professional and fluently both foreign languages English and Spanish. I recommend you to try the crispy pork, it’s a WOW.

First things first: food is pretty good. We had the pork knuckle which was okay, the schnitzel was pretty good. We had a few beers, all in all good, at the end of the evening we asked for some tap water explicitly specifying tap water, our server returned with 2 glasses of water, mind you glasses, and not packaged bottles. Afterwards he brings us the bill and we have been charged 5+ euros for 2 glasses of water (mind you this is more than what 2 glasses of beer costed on the same bill) we were obviously disappointed but we decided not to say anything and just pay. While we were paying our server explicitly asked us for a tip, we normally would have but we already paid so much for the water, which was disappointing and not okay when explicitly asked for tap water, so we decided to forgo tipping, either way asking explicitly for a tip and putting your customer in an awkward spot is not cool. I think our server expected us to be American and unaware of tipping culture in Germany, which was not the case as we were visiting from NL where we only tip for good service and not for scammy behaviour. Left a bad taste in my mouth after a pretty decent meal.

It was a very well maintained restaurant right next to a large Christmas market. Very centrally located. Service was nice and efficient.
Ordered a pork knuckle and it was quite nice. Skin was crispy but the meat could have been cooked a tiny bit more.
