On our first night in Cologne we went here for dinner. I really wanted to try some traditional Kölsch food and to drink Kölsch. It delivered.

Not knowing any Deutsch, the staff were very helpful. I had the mett-happen and the himmel un ääd. Both very tasty and washed down with some Kölsch.
I would definitely go back again.

A great German pub on the main road. The area seems a little short of pubs and that’s fine as this one is great for everyone. The staff speak English which is great, they have all sorts of beer including 0% they have a kids menu and also drawing and colouring for the kids. Also great for pirate parties evidently :)

Fresh Kölsch, good service, and traditional food. The blood sausage is delicious and the Mettbroetchen (for the uninitiated : that's raw minced pork on a roll) is divine. Good prices, local place

Very traditional restaurant in Köln, Nippes. Fair prices, tasty food and fast service.
Great atmosphere to enjoy a nice Kölsch :)

An authentic place, full of locals, with traditional Kolnishe kitchen. Definitely not a tourist trap. And please do not try ordering "big glass of beer". Locals always drink it in small ones (0.2l).
