The food is good, the place is pleasant (we’ve sit outside), the staff is friendly and the price was nice.

We’ve been there for lunch and ordered a Goat cheese toast (ZIEGENFRISCHKÄSE) and a Cheese Board (KÄSE BRETT) + egg.

Everything was delicious and fresh, specially the bread!

Delicious fresh food at reasonable prices. Delighted to find Café Heimisch as our nearby hotel wanted €19 per person for breakfast. We will return each morning we are in Köln.

Friendly welcoming chillaxed breakfast with gluten free options. Decent coffee. Small portions for the price but fresh, quality ingredients.

Cute, delicious Café with thoughtful, friendly service — and a great playlist too. Recommend the breakfast Brett with ham, cheese, frischkäse and lots of delicious bread and brötchen. Would love to go back to try some of their beautiful looking salads, sandwiches or baked goods. Lots of veggie and vegan options, too.

Decent food, terrible terrible terrible service. When you need to wait 40 minutes for an already backed extra expensive croissant with some jam you know there is something wrong.

The place is very enjoyable, with great breakfast and kind people working here. I tried the Heimisch Breakfast, which was enough for one.

Great coffee, ordered my standard cappu, good taste, strong-ish, could've been stronger, to be honest, not bitter and high quality coffee (probably Arabica), alright quantity as well. The second time ordered this, it was most definitely much better.
