Enjoyed the food but not the wait

We made a reservation a few weeks ago and were seated right away. The restaurant is mid-sized and was almost fully seated when we arrived.

Our drinks arrived soon after our order was taken as well as the appetizers (maybe 20 minutes). We ordered the Tuna and the Shrimp with Garlic Bread and mediterranean vegetables, which were both very good. After this, we waited about 1.5 hours for the main course even though people who were seated after us had already received their main course although they had also ordered appetizers. We ordered the Tagliatelle with beef, mushrooms and spinach and the risotto with braised veal cheek.

As with all things, expectation management is key. Whether the staffing is short or if some meals take longer than others etc. etc., this should be disclosed up front. We still don't know what the delay was about just a short indication that the kitchen seemed to be the cause of the delay. We were offered a free dessert or coffee as compensation but at that point, we wanted to head home.

We will be going again at some point as it does not seem that this is the normal experience and the food was worth going.

We had an amazing dinner experience. Delicious Champagne and Kolsche to set the mood for this beautiful summer evening on the patio. I had the fresh crisp salad with perfectly marinated chicken and my husband had the savory ravioli. Service was on point. We had one night in Koln and this was the perfect ending to our stay.

Cost restaurant with good food and service.
We took ravioli with figue and ricotta (a very big portion, and delicious) and asparagus with salmon.
The bread was fresh, warm and good, too

We had the Carpaccio and Angus steak with sweet patato chips. Delicious! Very friendly service. Tip to the owner: we were a bit unfortunate to sit in the cool draft each time the door opened. Maybe check that out. Apart from that, great place ????

Simply amazing. We had a wonderful dinner here. Fantastic service, very friendly and accommodating. Our meals were amazing - full of flavour, expertly prepared and well presented. Gluten free options were not a problem whatsoever. If we get the chance we will return in a heartbeat!

Excellent barely begins to describe this restaurant, the food and wine was delicious. Our experience was made more pleasant by the professional yet friendly service provided by the staff. In fact we ate there in two nights in a row. Highly recommended.
