Although I searched for books in philosophy, politics or for some auto/biographies and tried hard to find a book in my favorite genres, I was impressed with the varieties of Arts and Architecture books. It will take some timeu0026effort to figure out the books (particularly if you are looking for books in English) to meet your taste.

However, Walther König bookstore used to be a meeting place for artists. You can feel it when you are there even for a short period of time there at the corner of Ehrenstraße in the city center. Definitely worth visiting.

Impressive size and massive selection while remaining cozy. Lots of stairs, so not the most accessible, but it's loaded with approachable staff.

This bookstore has a great selection of art related books. They run several museum book shops and those kind of books are what you can expect. I like the atmosphere in there and that you can explore in a beautiful chaos.

Lots of interesting photography related books for reasonable prices. Heaven for a photography enthousiast like me.
