Food 9/10
Drinks 10/10

It's a really nice place that gives a true German experience.

Details

We went as a group and had so many beers which was fresh and good. The beers are served very fast but the food takes some time. We were a large group and in the end everyone was served and everyone was happy with the food they got. We had such a great time and enjoyed the whole atmosphere. Would recommend it to people looking for a great German experience.

The beer garden is nice and cozy, and the best Kölsch!

You can expect that they will serve you Kölsch continuously and I agree it tastes amazing(and normally I do not drink beer). I expect to try a German food here and yes there are many options available with extra special day menu. Food is pretty traditional like German-German, means something straight forward and not complicated recipe. Our food serve hot and fresh. I also enjoy their mustards.

The service is nice and English-friendly. Drinks serve super fast and food is less than 15 minutes.

The price is standard for brewery place. The portion is also adequate.

PS. For me, this is not overrated and it also depends what do you order. I was there during weekdays, lunch time so it was not packed.

One star for the cozy environment, but this place is nothing but a tourist trap. They are fast with serving beer, so thats good and the Kölsch tastes quite good here. But everything else is not worth a visit. The food is not fresh and badly cooked. The meat quality is bad. I don't think they care a lot about sustainability at all. The soup was served cold twice, btw. The asparagus was not fresh, too and I have been here mid season. Staff is ok, but I am missing a bit the authentic part overall

If you're looking for an authentic German experience in Koln, this is the place you need to visit!
It's situated in a regular building that turns to a beergarten once you enter. You'll find it a little hard to order as their menu is in German and not many waiters would speak English ( but use Google translate to rescue!)
The food is authentic German style. Some of the best dishes on the menu were Snitzel, Sausage and salad. Ofcourse you'll find more beer options than food options, but the ambiance makes up for the limited food selection.

First of all: they don’t accept card for payment, only cash. Keep that on mind before go.
Second: apparently they don’t like tourists (my and my group perception). They served beer to all locals first and to us later. If the service was a little better definitely we were consumed more.

About the place: super cool. But they don’t have menu in English, only German and it’s a challenge translate everything.
About the food: good and great portions. The price is good, €10/€12 per plate, which is fair. The beer is good and the price (September/21) is €1,90.

Really nice brewery where to spend some time with your friends and have a taste of the typical koln atmosphere, the food is also quite good ! I suggest the snitzel with fries and mushroom sauce,
