caution:
- I booked 2 nights on the site and had to enter mine credit card data:
Later I got a mail from the owner/employee of the hostel that they only accept cash money.
- The employee was very aggressive and unfriendly. very unprofessional.
- You do not get a hand shower
- There was no soap in the toilet
- The toilet was clogged and it was smelly.
- There is rarely someone at the reception.
- You get a code to enter the hostel. At 4 o'clock in the morning the code did not work.
- The next day, when I checked out, the staff member forced me to make the bed.

Conclusion: Expensive, unfriendly, complicated payment, poor service, unclean, accepts only cash money. Not recommended

Hostel run by easy-going, friendly people. I have seen cleaner hostels, but the atmosphere and nice people definitely made up for that. :) The hostel is right across a tram station that gets you pretty much to everywhere in Cologne quite quickly.

It was a nice hostel generally, enjoyed the stay there, there is a kitchen with a common space. However it could have been cleaner, there were some crumbs on the floor in the private room when we arrived

Kitchen is good, you will find all things for breakfast but room is not enough good and well cleaned. If u haven’t find any cheap accommodation then u can book this hostel. Not peaceful place to stay

It’s a little bit intimidating because it doesn’t have much light in the hallway, but it is well located and it’s ok because it has a really low price. The image/cleanliness could be better though.

Unfortunately, this was by far the worst accommodation I have ever stayed in. Everything else in Cologne was booked, so I paid around 75 Euros for a single room with a shared bathroom. The sheets were old and had holes in them. The mattress was hard. The room had clearly only ever been cleaned superficially. Objects like the power strip had accumulated dust over a long period of time and were quite dirty. The blinds were bent out of shape. I also did not feel particularly safe in the hostel as there were men standing out in the hallway until late in the evening. Overall, it is painfully obvious that the profits are not reinvested into the hostel at all. I recently stayed at a hostel in Berlin, payed the same price and had a much better experience (recently remodeled, big common area, good breakfast selection, private bathroom and much cleaner). If the owners of the hostel read this: Please clean your rooms more thoroughly and at least invest in some new sheets!

I stayed here a few weeks ago and it was ok. There was no dish soap when I got there so I picked some up for everybody to use when I went to the store. When that ran out, there was still no dish soap so people were either cleaning their dishes with window cleaner or just rinsing them out with water and leaving food stuck onto them. I would expect a hostel with a kitchen to at least do the basics like not be out of dish soap for 3 entire days.

The beds were good enough and had shower curtains, and the room was spacious with a table. The whole hostel did have a strange smell and the bathrooms and showers were functional, but seemed to be in need of some repairs.

The location was good and central, but rather loud at night from the noises of the city, so bring ear plugs. It was also rather bright from all the lights of the city , so bring a sleeping mask. The hostel had a somewhat social vibe while I was there, although I don't remember if there were any events put on by the staff.
