A perfect quality-price-location balance.
The Ameron hotel in Köln is part of a chain, I think, which helps maintain their level of service.
It’s a very clean spot, with lots of staff who are capable, friendly and always on hand.
The room we occupied showed none of the usual wear-and-tear signs you usually see at hotels.
It offers a gym and many more amenities, while the price is very competitive (check out the prices for other, similar hotels around and you’ll see what I mean).
The breakfast is a luxurious buffet with many organic and healthy options, also interestingly priced.
As for the location, really close by the city and a few free parku0026ride spots you can leave your car at. You can actually walk from the hotel, through the beautiful cemetery next door, to the city.
Otherwise are a simple tram ride will do, you’ll find a stop about 100m from the hotel entrance.

Everything is good except the restaurant.

I am starving and have been waiting for an hour for my salad and pasta. Its 21:45 and I am still waiting.

Clean, luxurious, comfortable, very friendly staff, all amenities top. The restaurant is one of the highlights!

It's located in the suburbs, so do not expect any sightseeing, nor even restaurants near by. However the rooms are large and in great conditions. Service is very friendly (both lobby and restaurant). The breakfast buffet is very nice.

My event was canceled and they wouldn't refund my booking. This was 2 full weeks before the trip and only a few hours after the cancelation cutoff. Very bad form.

I visited the hotel together with my girlfriend for one weekend. Overall, a very pleasant experience. Nice and clean room, very polite staff always there to help with anything needed. Excellent level of professionalism. I highly recommend it!
