Some locals I know, like me (newcomer), have only recently got to know this forest.

Note: you don't necessarily have to wander into the distance (or the immediate surrounding area), the beautiful may sometimes be on your doorstep.

However, it should not be concealed that in the surrounding area you will of course find one or the other forest in which you will meet significantly fewer other people. Sometimes there is more going on in the Crimmitschau Forest than in downtown Chemnitz. Well, that's not particularly difficult now (regardless of the pandemic!).

Ein, wie ich finde, überraschend naturnaher und stellenweise idyllischer, gar verwunschener Wald.

Einige mir bekannte Einheimische haben, wie ich (Zugereister) diesen Wald erst in der jüngsten Zeit kennengelernt.

Merke: man muss nicht unbedingt in die Ferne (oder das direkte Umland) schweifen, das Schöne mag bisweilen quasi vor der eigenen Haustüre liegen.

Allerdings soll nicht verschwiegen werden, dass man im näheren Umland natürlich den ein oder anderen Wald findet, in dem man deutlich weniger anderen Menschen begegnet. Im Crimmitschauer Wald ist bisweilen mehr los als in der Chemnitzer Innenstadt. Gut, das ist jetzt nicht sonderlich schwer (ungeachtet der Pandemie!).
