So far I have been very satisfied with the service in Diako. The doctors are competent and the nurses are nice and friendly. I've been staying and being treated in Diako many times, however this time was the absolute worst experience I have ever had. Below is the chronology of what happened:
I called my husband to bring stuff for me as I was hospitalised here. My husband came and texted me he was downstairs. We understand that the visiting hours are between 15-18.00 and that you can only enter when you are fully vaccinated. We both are fully vaccinated. And since it's outside of visiting time, I went downstairs to pick up my stuff. I had just had an operation, and turns out the stuff was to heavy for me to carry. As we were talking how to carry the stuff upstairs, we went to the security to ask whether or not my husband can bring the stuff upstairs and he said no. So we went to the receptionist to gave my stuff there and wait until a nurse came to pick it up. Turns out the nurse calls the floor director and the floor director said that he could help me carry my stuff as long as he is vaccinated. He showed his proof of vaccination and we went up. As we walked pass the security he started to threaten my husband and says "vorsichtig". VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. His colleague tried to neutralise the situation and said maybe he felt insulted and therefore said that. I told her that even so, it's still unprofessional. This is so disappointing for Diako, a hospital with a good standard to have a security running around threatening people with "vorsichtig". I honestly felt very insulted by this open threat from Diako's security.
