Woooow… what can we say about Maternus is beyond words! We had an extremely pleasant time there, with a very good tradicional food. And not to mention the staff, which is also part of the experience. Anyway, we ate the best schnitzel ever! Just try it and you won’t be disappointed. We wanna go there again sometime ???? Thank you, Maternus!

Extremely disappointing given the very positive reviews. Had the salmon, but it was almost completely uncooked and I was forced to return it as it was actually cold on the inside. (It was also swimming in butter). Astounding as this is one of their main dishes. Hope others have better luck!! ????

This is the gem of Bad Godesburg! Not only is the inside charming but the service was a delight. Don't miss out on the history and walk around to see how grand it is. The pear tarte was to die for!

Lovely old style setting with excellent service. Had the goose dinner which was delicious and shared a freshly made zabaglione. Great evening.

A restaurant with good home cooking in the center of Bad Godesberg. It is one of the places where politicians and diplomats from the Bonn Republic used to meet. The decor is traditional, the ambience pleasantly calm and perfect for good conversations while eating. The menu offers traditional German dishes but also salads, pasta, etc. The prices are ok, the staff very friendly. The food of good quality. Unfortunately, one of the dishes was too salty, but it was exchanged immediately. The second time it still was a little too salty (and we tend to eat spicy and relatively salty!). Nevertheless, the other dishes were good, so we will certainly give the place a second chance, since we liked the calm atmosphere.

Just returned. Had a wonderful dinner there with colleagues. Not a cheap place, but a place to remember. You do have to try the Zabaione.
