The museum is small but very well stocked. Despite being destroyed during the war (see a small display case). You see different stones/minerals/metals, different cuts, oddities and a little education which just ends up in the garbage (unless properly recycled).

There is a guest book and a "children's corner" with children's guest book (with pens) and books to look at. So you can definitely spend more time here than just "walking through". My suggestion would be that there is a folding stool for little guests.

Spoilers: There are three things to try. Three equal-sized metals of different weights (densities) for lifting. A small possibility to scratch intentionally. And four boxes to feel and then look at.

If you want to spend money: Stones (metals) and smaller books can be bought, but only in cash. No EC payment/credit card.

Das Positive: die SHKs die dort arbeiten sind sehr freundlich, bemüht Steine zu bestimmen und lassen sich auch nicht von fragenden Kindern aus der Ruhe bringen.

Das Museum ist klein, aber überaus gut bestückt. Trotz Zerstörung im Krieg (hierzu eine kleine Vitrine). Man sieht verschiedene Steine/Mineralien/Metalle, verschiedene Schliffe, Skurrilitäten und ein wenig Aufklärung was einfach im Müll landet (sofern nicht richtig recycelt).

Es gibt ein Gästebuch sowie eine "Kinderecke" mit Kindergästebuch (mit Stiften) und Büchern zum Ansehen. Somit kann man definitiv hier mehr Zeit verbringen als nur "durch zu gehen". Mein Vorschlag wäre, dass es einen Klapphocker für kleine Gäste gibt.

Spoiler: Es gibt drei Dinge zum Ausprobieren. Drei gleich große Metalle mit unterschiedlichem Gewicht (Dichte) zum Anheben. Eine kleine Möglichkeit gewollt zu kratzen. Und vier Boxen zum Fühlen und dann Ansehen.

Wer Geld ausgeben möchte: Kauf von Steinen (Metallen) und kleineren Büchern möglich, allerdings nur bar. Keine EC-Zahlung/Kreditkarte.

Für Rollstuhlfahrer nur bedingt empfehlenswert, weil viele Vitrinen höher sind. Am Eingang gibt es eine kleine Metallrampe. Kein WC für Handicap, die sind zwar sauber, aber altmodisch eng.
