As a Belgian living in Bonn, I was very happy to find out that there is a shop here locally, which sells our favourite chocolates. It was part of a tea shop we have been coming to for 3 years. We waited here for more than 20 minutes at the chocolate counter, with a 2 month old baby in our arms. It was not busy in the store. But the owner/saleswoman apparently thought it was more important to talk about tea with a man during this 20min (he ended up buying 2 small packs, while we wanted to buy a large box of chocolates). When a holiday worker asked the owner if she could help us quickly, she was snubbed by the owner that we had to be patient.
It is clear that this shop has no interest in selling Leonidas chocolates. The chocolate counter is in the farthest corner of the shop, completely out of sight. We eventually left after 20 minutes without chocolates. The next day we drove to Belgium to buy them in a shop where the people guarantee a friendly service. We will not come back: not for chocolates, neither for tea.
