This used to be a really lovely cafe with friendly staff. Sunday brunch has an ok selection, and plenty of nice play opportunities for small kids.
As we visited today for my birthday, staff seemed somewhat overwhelmed. Infuriatingly, before leaving we were charged 25.80 EUR(!) for having brought a small birthday cake from which we ate two small pieces. This was for a party of 8(!) full-paying adults (each brunch+coffee) that had already spent u003e150EUR for mediocre food and coffee, while we had not been informed of such a charge in advance. It is hard to find places that cater for small kids the way this place does, but today's experience has surely made this our last visit here.
RESPONSE TO OWNER'S RESPONSE from 19.08.19 8am:
My wife tried several times over several days before arrival to contact you, but has always failed to reach anyone. She and my 3-yo son made this cake the day before, of which we consumed max 2 pieces. All 8 adults ordered the all-you-can-eat buffet (which included cake), so if anything the cafe profited from this birthday cake. As a general rule, I can understand that no homemade food should be brought, and I would have been fine paying 5-10 EUR, but u003e25 EUR is absolutely infuriating, particularly given that this was a birthday party, and the charge was not communicated to us beforehand. We used to love coming here, but I am disappointed by the staff's handling of the situation and the response here.
