Rating it 5 for the square and the statue. Really charming square to wander around, rustig and picturesque. Could combine the sqaure with the cathedral nearby as well as the town hall, before heading up to Beethoven house in a half-day/one-day tour of Bonn.

A memorial bronze statue dedicated to the famous composer Beethoven born in the city of Bonn. facing Münster marktplatz and near the Bonner Münster.

Statue of the most prominent and well known citizen of Bonn - Beethoven - is located right in front of a very picturesque post office building providing a stunning background for the photography. Unfortunately the statue was surrounded by a fence as it was under reconstruction in July 2022. Cafes and restaurants are surrounding the square and Bonn Munster can be entered from the southern part of the square as well.

A necessary stop when visiting Bonn, nice open square with a statue of its most famous citizen. Especially important when your son is a pianist.

Beethoven's music is obviously more resilient and durable than his statue.
