I don’t really understand the 5 star reviews… the noodles with the ground meat sauce were too salty, and they didn’t even bring any napkins, which should be a given, a.k.a. Selbstverständlich. The best part of the meal were Xiao Long Bao - just come here for the dumplings, seriously, because the rest isn’t worth your money. Also, you can only pay with either an EC card or cash.

Authentic and amazing! We've eaten here 4 times in the last week alone and can never get enough! Servings are well-sized, fast and friendly service, casual dining atmosphere...excellent food!

This is the place to go for Chinese food. My chinese girlfriend actually approved this store to be authentic Chinese food. We both enjoy going there. The only thing that could be better is if the Huns were a bit more crikey at the bottom. We still enjoy going there every once in a while for some amazing food :)

My husband and I have been here twice. We love the Hausgemachte Bandnudeln. The taste is great and the portions are gut. We also had vegetarian steamed buns and Shiu Mai. They don't accept credit cards, just EC-Karte and cash. Restaurant is often full but is worth the waiting. Clean place and super friendly staff. Great addition to Bochum.

FOOD u0026 DRINKS
This location is fairly new and offers a selection of traditional Chinese items. I had the Rou Jia Mo which is often described as the Chinese burger. I rather like to compare it to a Turkish Döner because it is meat between a flat bread. The variation they offer here is quite unusual. It comes with bell pepper and a piece of lettuce. I am more used to onions and/or chives. The bread was very crispy and not oily and comes with either beef or pork. The beef was tender but was overwhelmed by the taste of soy which is a shame. The beef should be the star by simmering in its own beef juice.
Also I believe I did a mistake by ordering the Rou Jia Mo without the bell peppers because those would at least give some sweetness it desperately needed for a more balanced flavor profile. I still think that onions would make a way better companion.
I also ordered half a dozen Sheng Jian Bao with shrimp and pork filling. The filling was nice and juicy and had actual pieces of shrimp. The seasoning was more balanced and the bao wasn't too doughy but the bottom of the bao wasn't crispy at all. The chef only fried it slightly which made the item missing one key texture.
I didn't order the Xiao Long Bao but I have seen them on a few other tables and they were served steaming hot and looked pretty yummy.

SERVICE
The girls who work there were a bit shy but still nice and friendly. I wish they would smile a bit more though.

ATMOSPHERE
This place is fairly small but clean, fresh and modern. There are two communal tables and some more tables outside. It really attracts a lot of younger customers.

RATING
To be honest I was on the fence to give this place a four star rating but I decided to go with three stars instead. The items they serve are good but not worth four stars. They are still young and hopefully do improve over time. For now I can recommend to try them out.

This place is amazing. Food is absolutely delicious and the service is so friendly and fast!

I recommend getting the Genki Burger with Chicken and the spicy nuddle soup. :)
