It really looks like a tempting German restaurant, even the name sounds like familiarity. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was not excellent, just good. From my perspective, the dishes were all slightly adapted. Nevertheless it tasted good. The service was very good. The prices were also low and overall a good experience.

Came here and sat outside in the evening, the beer is fresh and perfect.

I am vegetarian and loved the freshness of the dish with boiled potatoes and herbed cheese. My friend enjoyed his beef roulade.

Definitely a must try.

Really great traditional german food. Loved my beef straganoff very much as it was tender and flavourful. The mashed potatoes were also so good with the sauce. Beer of course is good

When you see the cooks come their back room to grab a booth and chow on the very good they prepare, then it must be good. The bartender was the only staff personnel serving both drinks and food. A cherry disposition but no non sense attitude, since he has to constantly repeat to tourists „we do not take cards“. Although by himself, he remained professional and quick. Not bad on the eyes either.

I ordered the Rhindergolausch with Rotkohl and potato dumplings. The gravy was rich and flavored, potatoes were pillows of heaven, Rotkohl had a hint of sweetness and complemented the savory meat. Served with my favorite Riesling and they found themselves a new customer. Bistro equipped with indoor and outdoor seating. I will return.

The eisbein is extremely tender and soft! The texture of the pork skin could melt with only a touch of tongue. The service is also nice!

My partner and I love this restaurant for its authentic old-school Berlin charm, super friendly staff and tasty food - we try to come every time we visit the city. On our most recent visit this week we had veal schnitzel with potato salad and steak au four - both were super good. Great to see some typically East German classics like Soljanka on the menu, too. Prices are very reasonable.

The staff was friendly and welcoming, they had menus in German, english and italian for our surprise, and the waitress actually spoke Italian for the comfort of our guests from Italy.
The food was delicious and great selection.
Totally recommend eating here.
