As an Israeli living abroad , I am always curious if an Israeli restaurant outside of israel can taste like real quality Israeli food. Thankfully YAFO restaurant in Berlin was perfect. The restaurant is located inside the hotel which made us all wondered “is it worth it?” But as soon as we good the food, we knew we made a good choice. We got the cauliflower hummus and Sinia with meat (Sinia is dish made of tahini and eggplants). They added to it some zhug which is a Yemenite spicy sauce that I love. Both dishes were perfects. Can’t wait to go back and try more from the menu .

I wish I could rate the restaurant higher as our waiter was awesome and understood the art of service. He just flowed with it gracefully. The portion sizes were shocking to be honest. With the hummus appetizer we literally received half of a slice of pita bread. The salad was very tasty and fresh but again, it would take a bounty of dishes to walk away feeling satiated. Again, the service was wonderful. Danke! I think the menu - specifically the portion sizes - deserves a revisit before I can comfortably visit again.

I had dinner last weekend on a Saturday evening with a friend. We did not know what to expect, although we both did hear about the place before. We entered and got a super warm welcome from the host, who brought us to our table within minutes, the waitress was very quick to get our order, the wine came right after, followed by the dishes. Food was marvellous, every dish more delicious than the other, and the atmosphere was great, with beautiful people and an amazing music playlist with gems from the past (who would not want to dance on Cher and Kylie Minogue while tasting the best hummus in town?). Overall, we had an incredible time, especially thanks to the staff that made things so smooth and enjoyable, thanks to their friendly and helpful attitude. And the food, of course, totally worth it! Great experience, will definitely go again!

Cozy menu with good service. No toothpicks ????????u200d♀️, but tasty dishes: Veggie bag, shrimps chraime and mazzes are good.
Situated in the hotel lobby

Dining for utter service masochists. Rude maitre’d today Sunday October 2021. Unfriendly and condescending to all in queue, and disinterested in welcoming guests. The food is good, two stars for that, but for overall better experience, and great food, I recommend thai place “Monsieur Vuong” around the corner.

The hummus is all right, but the portions are way too small. Pita is not home-made... All in all I was expecting a more authentic experience. Good for a snack, when you have some time to kill.

Excellent Israeli food in Berlin. We’ve had one of the best homemade húmus with pita bread. Order the artichoke salad and you won’t regret it. Cocktails are well prepared by the nice staff in the front door
The place can get crowded so make sure to reserve in advance.
