Absolutely appaling behaviour from street “fundraisers” in Berlin. I was harassed on the street and insulted for pointing out the lack of mask. As a lifelong supporter of animal causes, I am disappointed and disgusted.

I made an online donation of 25 euro to this organization, supporting a good cause. Not only was the money withdrawn only after 3-4 days, but a few weeks (!) later I received this paper letter in the mail saying WWF was very happy about my donation. Now, it makes me wonder how much of my 25 euro was actually used for the good cause? Printing and sending the paper mail costs at least 2 euro in Germany. Could they not send an email? Makes me disappointed and mistrustful at how my funds are being used. Will probably not donate to WWF anymore ((((

Diese Stiftung labert Leute dumm an, ist nur auf Geld aus und macht sich die eigenen Taschen voll, im Umweltschutz landen lediglich ein Bruchteil der Spenden. Finanziert werden unter anderem kriminelle Projekte im Ausland, richtig gehört, das Geld wird exportiert, subventioniert von Supermärkten und vollgepumpt mit Milliarden wird für spenden geworben um jeden Preis. Als Spender bekommst du keinen Wert zurück, es gibt keine Möglichkeit ohne Geld zu helfen, bei vielen Organisationen kann man z.B Fahrräder spenden oder Sachen, die man nicht mehr braucht, das geht hier nicht, das zeigt, ohne Geld geht hier gar nichts und wenn es hier um die Umwelt ginge, würde man auch ohne Geld irgendwie unterstützen können.

This was my first and last donation to the WWF. Instead of animal welfare, the money is probably being invested in unnecessary, obtrusive and environmentally harmful marketing. So much paper waste, so much CO2 wasted making these materials...

And from a data protection point of view also highly problematic. Permission is required for personalized advertising!

Nach einmaliger Spende werde ich bis heute postalisch mit Werbung zubombadiert. Kataloge, Briefe, Spendenaufforderungen. Mehrmals habe ich versucht, das ganze zu beenden, auch telefonisch. An der Adresse, wo die Sachen hingeschickt werden, wohne ich überhaupt nicht mehr. Scheint aber den WWF nicht zu interessieren. Sogar angerufen wurde ich - und dabei habe ich nie eine solche Einwilligung erteilt.

Das war meine erste und letzte Spende an den WWF. Statt in Tierschutz wird das Geld wohl in unnötiges, penetrantes und umweltschädliches Marketing investiert. So viel Papiermüll, so viel CO2 zur Herstellung dieser Materialien vergeudet...

Und aus Datenschutzrechtlicher Sicht auch höchst problematisch. Für personalisierte Werbung ist ein Einverständnis notwendig!
