First, the table was dirty, the waitress noticed it but did nothing, the food was under cooked and nothing special...then they overcharged us 15 Euro and wouldn't make it right. It appears they are running a scam there possibly aimed at tourists. With all the good restaurants and beer gardens in Berlin, I strongly recommend you avoid this place. The only reason it has one star is because Google wouldn't post this review without me assigning it a star. The toilette was reasonably clean, so I guess that deserves a star...but that should be expected ,especially for the prices they charge.

I really want to like this Biergarten so close to where I live, but I was quite disappointed by my dining experience. We took our friends, who were visiting from out of town, so they could experience a Bavarian style Biergarten (In total, we were 4 adults and 3 kids ages 8, 10, 14). What I immediately noticed was that the restaurant seemed to be understaffed
and in the kitchen especially; we waited a LONG time (45 minutes!!!) for our food. That's ridiculous (especially with 3 kids at the table). When my potato soup finally arrived, it looked good, but was horrible. Eating my second spoonful, I encountered half-frozen potato and carrot chunks. I was shocked. To add injury to insult, I waited a LONG time to get another bowl of soup (17 minutes --we joked about how long it would take and timed it). The replacement soup was a small(er) serving of dangerously, piping, lava-hot soup. Unacceptable. (If we were not hosting friends, I would have said something again, but I just wanted to focus on them and providing them a good time and, frankly, the server should see it was not an appropriate portion or temperature to serve.) My daughter's dish was also not properly served -she, too, had to wait even longer to eat. On top of it, the prices are a bit steep (or perhaps I think this because I did get a nice meal or decent service??) Also: If you are a vegetarian, be aware there are VERY few choices for you which is a shame for a restaurant with so many items on the menu. For Pete's sake, how hard is it to offer a veggie wurst or an egg on potato with side salad, Maria u0026 Josef? I ordered the potato soup not realizing it had meat in it. (I'm not a strict vegetarian, so I did not mind so much, but the soup was simply a complete disaster). One more thing: We were surrounded by people chain-smoking cigarettes in all directions (guests also smoked right in front of their own child and baby.) It was just too much smoke and this eroded our overall experience. (I wouldn't be surprised if some of the smoking was to "fill the time" --45 minutes is a LONG time wait to eat.) Given how large the outdoor seating area is, Maria u0026 Josef could easily reserve a section for non-smokers. Again, I would really want to enjoy this place, but I have very little incentive to return given the long wait, the horrible memory of that potato soup, the lack of vegetarian wurst option, and the absence of a non-smoking section in the garden... So much potential at this place... too bad.

Best schnitzel (veal, not pork) that I've had this trip. Great atmosphere and the Spärgel (white asparagus) was so tender. Would definitely visit again.

One of the best diner experiences in a long time.
Food quality was overwhelmingly good, portions were insanely big. Overall a nice rustic atmosphere.

Very disappointing ! I got warm the rest of beer .. I was ordering food next to the beer counter as one old Lady was telling the young man to give that rest of the beer ... he was quite resisting and asked twice .. because it was the you know the glas below when they fill up .. I also asked twice after i heard that if the beer is cold - he confirmed - next day I wrote an email precisely describing the experience and giving them a chance at least to say that it is not ok and I can go again - as I moved recently to Zehlendorf .. .but never heard of them again..
