I chose this place based on the reviews of cleanliness. It was excellent! This was my first time in Berlin and happy that I chose this place. I walked to the metro which was about 10-15 minute walk, the walk was definitely safe. The metro connected me to all the stops I needed. FYI: Do not take the bus, I took the bus to get to the hotel and there were so many transfers I needed to make, it was confusing. When I checked out from the hotel I took the S9 metro which took me straight to the airport. I shared my room with only two other females. I slept well throughout the night but as I’m a sensitive sleeper I always use ear plugs and eye covers. I was able to lock up my valuables in a locker in the room. Cathe was very helpful and accommodating in ensuring I was comfortable during my stay, she even loan me a lock since I forgot mine. I would definitely recommend this place and if I ever visit Berlin again I will definitely stay here. Great for travelers on a budget seeking a safe and clean place.

It was a wonderful trip! Many thanks to the staff! We arrived much earlier, and by our arrival the room had already been cleaned and it was possible to check-in earlier than 3 pm. In addition, we were settled in a separate room for three people, which was as comfortable as possible for us. The room was clean, bed linen was white. Toilets and showers are always clean. The guys at the reception are very friendly, they help in everything, listen to the wishes and try to fulfill them, they can recommend where to go and how to spend time, they will tell you everything in detail, show you and answer all your questions. Thank you so much! highly recommend!

Firstly staff are lovely! However there was little explanation into there not having a actual cafe operating. There is good coffee but no food. Further to this it shuts at 4pm so you only have your room to go to after this. My stay was not very pleasant as I was in a room was someone very loud and would eat there dinner on the bed. This hostel is better for people that will be out all day and evening and just need somewhere to crash at night. Would not recommend for solo travellers but would for a quiet hostel environment!

Family buisness, very cozy welcome. It is well located near the centre of Berlin, easily reachable with public transport. I just wish they had a guest kitchen...

We didn't stay here, but we rented bikes for our stay in Berlin. They were 10 Euros a day and allowed us to explore so many different areas within Berlin - which is such a bike-friendly city! If you are able, I would highly recommend renting bikes (we were there for five days and didn't take public transit once). We found it much preferable to use these bikes, than to use the other type of bikes in Berlin, such as Nextbike. Wallyard was very responsive by email, and was very flexible with the bike drop-off times - would highly recommend renting from them.
