This hotel was mostly good, but was lacking in a few items that led to a 3-star rating.
The good: The location is great, close to plenty of public transportation so it's easy to get around. The hotel itself is really beautiful, with a trendy lobby, plenty of comfy seats to hang out in, and with really modern bedrooms that had great nightstands with plenty of plugs available for use. The bathroom has a separate wash closet for the toilet, which is SO good when traveling as a couple. Everything was clean and tidy. When you did interact with staff they were friendly enough.
The bad: Though the hotel boasts having AC, that could not be further from the truth. All rooms have a thermostat with a screen allowing you to choose a temperature, but that seems to be only an illusion. When we reported the issue to the front desk in the morning, we were told it would be addressed. At the end of the day nothing had been done and so they kindly put us in a different room. Alas, the same exact problem was in this room too, and they hadn't set the room up completely, so the second room didn't have enough towels, and had no soap or shampoo, etc. We would have opened the window, but the room overlooked the tram tracks, which were loud enough with windows shut. Finally, it was impossible to get anybody to answer the front desk phone, so if you needed anything, the only way to talk to someone was to wait in line at the reception. Very frustrating.
