Tiny, cozy little place. Food is very much like home cooked. Friendly service and prices. Shame about terrace shut due to complaints from ppl living above

It didn't seem like we were welcome at all at this restaurant. When I asked kindly the lady if she is Hungarian she snapped angry at me that she is not and in Germany we should speak German. I of course politely in german I answered her that since I'm Hungarian and we were in a hungarian restaurant it is kinda normal to assume that someone is Hungarian at this place. I wanted to leave after this didnt feel comfortable at all but my friends convinced me to stay because they really wanted to try my cultures food which was under average. Horrible place if you expect good Hungarian food and welcoming hosts. I cannot recommend it.

Friendly service, good food, a little bit pricey but then again, where else could one get a proper lángos in Berlin?

The boss is very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is simple but appealing - and with just four tables and the counter, it is pleasantly small and manageable. The selection of food and wines is very good. I tried two different white wines, both great! As a main course I chose the vegetable schnitzel, instead of potatoes I wanted to try the homemade dumplings with cheese - the motivated lady was happy to implement this request. There was also cucumber salad - contrary to the description, not really with yogurt sauce but with a dab of yogurt on top. In terms of quality, everything is really really good. It took some time until everything came to an end - but to be honest: that's good! This way you know that everything has been freshly prepared and that's perfectly okay! Everything is reasonable in terms of price. Then why "only" one star, because so far it was "five" stars !? In my opinion, dogs have no business in restaurants. On the evening of my visit there were two other dogs in addition to the owner's dog (!). None of them came to me - but the barking and the mere presence are not necessary. I was also very disappointed that there is so much great Hungarian music, but that you can hear dull Berlin radio here. Third and for me personally the most annoying point: I was so excited to finally be able to speak in my mother tongue. When I finally saw the boss, I ran over, but after a sentence I was told that he had to go to the kitchen. Of course, the two (!) Guests who ordered their food shortly (!) Beforehand wanted to get the things - but it wasn't the big rush and I think there should always be time for a few sentences. Especially with such wonderfully small bars, the personal should count and be given enough space. I went back to the hotel disappointed and was really annoyed for the rest of the evening! The next time I visit Berlin, I'll think about driving across the whole city again.

Ich bin mit soooo großen Erwartungen in dieses Restaurant gefahren nach Lektüre der Website und der hiesigen Bewertungen und nahm eine echt weite Anfahrt gerne in Kauf für einen schönen Abend. Die Chefin ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Auch das Lokal ist schlicht aber ansprechend - und mit nur vier Tischen und der Theke angenehm klein und überschaubar. Die Auswahl an Speisen und Weinen ist sehr gut. Ich habe zwei verschiedene Weißweine probiert, beide klasse! Als Hauptspeise wählte ich das Gemüseschnitzel, statt Kartoffeln wollte ich gerne die hausgemachten Nockerln mit Käse probieren - diesen Wunsch setzte die motivierte Dame gerne um. Dazu gab es Gurkensalat - entgegen der Beschreibung nicht wirklich mit Joghurtsoße sondern mit einem Kleks Joghurt oben drauf. Qualitativ aber alles wirklich richtig gut. Es dauerte seine Zeit bis alles kam - aber ganz ehrlich: gut so! So weiß man, dass alles frisch zubereitet wurde und daher ist das völlig okay! Preislich ist auch alles angemessen. Warum dann "nur" einen Sterne, denn bisher waren es "fünf" Stern!? Für mein Empfinden haben Hunde nichts in Restaurants zu suchen. Am Abend meines Besuches waren nebst dem Hund der Eigentümer(!) noch zwei weitere Hunde da. Kamen alle nicht zu mir - das Gebell und die reine Anwesenheit tun aber nicht Not. Weiter hat mich sehr enttäuscht, dass es so viel großartige ungarische Musik gibt, hier aber stumpfes Berliner Radio zu hören ist. Drittes und für mich persönlich ärgerlichster Punkt: ich habe mich so irre drauf gefreut endlich mal in Muttersprache reden zu können. Als ich den Chef endlich sah, lief ich hin, wurde aber nach einem Satz gleich mal abgewimmelt, er müsse in die Küche. Natürlich wollten die zwei(!) Gäste die kurz(!) vorher ihr Essen bestellt haben die Sachen bekommen - aber der große Ansturm war es nicht und für ein paar wenige Sätze sollte immer Zeit sein, finde ich. Gerade bei solch herrlich kleinen Lokalen sollte doch das Persönliche zählen und genug Raum bekommen. Ich bin enttäuscht wieder ins Hotel gefahren und habe mich tierisch geärgert den ganzen restlichen Abend über! Beim nächsten Besuch in Berlin werde ich mir überlegen, ob ich nochmal quer durch die ganze Stadt fahre.
