We wanted a couple of days of relax and disconnection and we had the opposite. From the moment we arrived, the worst was predicted: the two men working at reception were very unfriendly and very arrogant. We had contracted a pack of room, spa and welcome drinks. We were not even welcomed and they didn’t offer us any drinks. They also didn’t explain anything about the spa to us, although I tried to obtain information, they made us feel that we were bothering them. After leaving our stuff in the room we went to the spa where we realized that they should have left the bathrobes and slippers in the room to be able to enter there. Of course they didn't and we had to go back to the room to have it brought to us. So far so relaxing, right?
The best comes now: when checking in they made me pay in advance in cash (the dataphone didn’t work) and when checking out this payment didn’t appear on the system. We had to wait until they checked the cameras. All very unfortunate.
It’s not about the money you pay or the stars that a hotel has, but about the kindness of its workers and education.
All this is conspicuous by its absence in Titanic Chausse Hotel.
