A true cultural gem, that I'm lucky to have visited. It has been a staple in Berlin for quite some time.

The service was excellent and the server was very kind, friendly and amazing at his job. They restaurant itself had a wide assortment of teas to choose from, and the specialty Russian smoked teas were amazing.

We also got a honey cake, medovik, and some cottage cheese pancakes, srirniki.

Please go here to experience someone out of the ordinary! :)

The server was great. We went early afternoon and there was space to sit at one of the floor tables. You remove your shoes and sit on cushions which is a nice experience. We only had tea but the food menu looked good with soups, main dishes and cakes.

Unique restaurant with a great ambience and atmosphere. Food is not too filling, but is definitely delicious and very reasonably priced. A great collection of tea, also served in a samovar. Would 100% recommend.

Didn't think I'd get to experience a beautiful authentic tea house that also serves good Russian food, but this place surprised me. What a lovely place to escape the bustling Berlin city streets. Great relaxed atmosphere, beautiful decor, and creative and lovely tea that is served at the perfect drinking temperature. I really enjoyed the pelmeni, which although not served the traditional way with broth, were still bringing me back to my childhood in Russia. Highly recommend you check this place out.

Update to my previous review is that the staff this time was really friendly and accommodative ????

In summer, you could also sit outside, as the inside area is a bit warmer, but the best experience is visiting inside, sitting on the floor at the small tables on the cushions; like local Tajiks.
The only complaint I have is that every time I visited, the staff were not as friendly as you'd expect in such a nice place; I admit that they could have been tired.
Will see the next times ????

Do remember to reserve, particularly on cold evenings, because it easily gets full.

It's like drinking your tea in another world. A v special experience at the heart of Berlin.
They offer a great selection of hot drinks as well as snacks and food.
I highly recommend the Samowar items ✨
You'll have to take off your shoes when going inside.

One of my favorite places in all of Berlin. Hidden in a yard by a busy street, it offers charming tables outside under a huge tree. The inside is even more attractive - there are places to sit on the carpeted floor offering an exotic experience of a different eating culture. The food is delicious and there’s a lot to choose from - Russian, Uzbeki, ... The prices are really reasonable. I fully recommend to order the samovar “package” with tea, sweets, etc. The only thing I didn’t really like was the service, it could be more friendly and attentive.

It was a really nice experience to let go of the tradition to sit on chairs (that's what I am used to) and just sit on pillows. The menu was good. I enjoyed the vegan food. They bring cookies with every tea and they also have vegan ones. I really liked the ambiente. (It would be a plus if also the wc/toilet would be designed in this ambiente).
