The ATMOSPHERE is amazing. The staff very friendly and helpful and the vibes are on point.

There is a 5€ deposit for sheets but you do get it back when you check out. Security is good where the front desk is very strict with letting ppl in after you show your room number card. There are lockers in the rooms so I felt my stuff was secure here

It isn’t meant to be a super nice hostel though (if you’re staying in the dorms at least)The bed I slept on was very uncomfortable but good enough if you’re coming back from clubbing all night. The room gets hot w/no real circulation so I imagine in the winter they’re cold. I wouldn’t say it’s a party hostel but also can say it’s not a quiet one. It’s a good atmosphere/vibe hostel.

I like the location, the staff and the friendliness of everyone around. If you are traveling alone and want to find companions to go out and do stuff with this is the right hostel.

It’s not the best hostel I’ve ever been too but it is very nice and is what it sets out to be. I personally would stay here again especially if I’m traveling solo. Overall if I could I’d give it 4.3 stars but I can’t so 4 stars it is!

Stayed here for 5 nights in a private room with my 3 friends. It was an amazing experience. Staff was very helpful and kind. Cocktails are amazing. If you need any recs on places to visit, the staff is very helpful with suggestions. Trains are no more than a 10 minute walk from the location. There's a grocery store that's about a 5 minute walk, and loads of cafes and restaurants nearby. I will be recommending this place to anyone visiting Berlin. One complaint is that the bunk beds squeak every time you make any movement on the bed.. but that's just a little maintenance issue that's easily fixable. Still deserves 5 stars! Very fun experience and a good opportunity to mingle with other travelers!

A very pleasant stay. The reception staff were incredibly welcoming and hospitable. The whole check-in/check-out process was incredibly smooth and went without any problems. The room i stayed in was clean, looked very nice, and to my surprise, even the beds were very comfy. The bathroom and toilet were also clean and i had no issues with them (besides the hot water taking a while to come on, though i believe this is out of the hostel's control). All things considered, this was a five-star hostel and a five-star stay, and i will most likely be returning here next time i come to Berlin!

Amazing experience. The staff was SUPER nice and accommodating. I had made a mistake in my booking and they were super friendly about getting it fixed. I would definitely stay here again. The cafe/bar downstairs is a perfect place to meet new people, the breakfast is super cheap and filling. The location is super ideal and very close to everything.

It was an amazing stay! Met some great people, the staff were always helpful and friendly and the rooms and bathrooms were clean. Before going, I was worried about the sharing key thing that some reviewers mentioned but it's really not inconvenient at all. Super simple system. Location was great! Would definitely come here again.

Simple room.

The lockers were very narrow meaning I couldn’t fit my small carry on suitcase inside. Even my backpack wouldn’t fit, I had to take out some items.

Low security, only one key for each room. You must trust strangers to lock up. Also the door is always unlocked to let others in or you must wake up to let them in in the middle of the night! It makes no sense.

No privacy curtains - would have been a nice addition.

Staff left me waiting every time I went to the front desk. They were talking with each other, not seeming to work… if they were working, a quick acknowledgment like ‘be with you soon’ is to be expected. It wasn’t a warm welcome.

Overall this is a good budget place to stay in in Berlin. It is situated in a lively area with plenty of restaurants and interesting shops, and has good public transport links. However, the hostel itself is on a quiet residential street so you won’t be kept awake at night. The hostel itself has a fun vibe; the reception area doubles as a bar and you can socialise with other guests there. The buffet breakfast is very good value for money. The dorms are reasonably clean and the beds are comfortable. (You have to make up your own bed and strip it when you check out, but I didn’t mind this.)

There were a couple of things I didn’t like: firstly, check-in is not until 4pm - I’ve never known a hostel to have such a late check-in time. I arrived in Berlin early in the morning and was hoping to be able to shower as I was feeling grubby after a night on an overnight bus - but when I asked if it was possible to use the shower before checking in (something I have been able to do in previous hostels I’ve stayed at), the answer was a blunt ‘no’.
Another negative point was the coin-operated lockers they have for storing luggage. A member of staff explained to me that if you want to remove something from your locker, you have a limited number of seconds (I can’t remember how many exactly) before the locker resets and you have to put another 2€ in. However, this is not the case, as the lockers actually reset the moment you open them, which is very annoying. On another occasion when one of the lockers swallowed my money I was told by a member of staff that they couldn’t do anything and that if I had a problem with the lockers I needed to ring the telephone number written on them. I really don’t think it’s fair to expect a non-German speaking tourist to do this.

The bathrooms were grimy at times but I don’t really blame the hostel for this, as it must be hard to keep up with the number of people using them.
