I ended up by chance having a drink on a Friday night at Sports bar Lilly-Pub and I can only recommend it as it was not too crowded (and therefore not too noisy!!) and we found a big table to enjoy our conversation. Prices are really okay (big Berliner 4'90 and Aperol for 5'10)
Staff do only speak German, but should not be a big deal as they have all menu in paper.

Horrible experience at this bar. The server (Who I suppose was also the owner/manager) told my two friends and I who had purchased rounds of drinks throughout the entirety of a football match to leave because we’d stopped ordering and paid, after the match entered the last 10 minutes. Keep in mind it’s not as though there were other people looking for seats or a table. This type of behavior really felt like discrimination as we weren’t being loud or anything and we’d bought enough drinks throughout the course of the match that we were satisfied. Keep in mind that nobody else was made to get up and it just happened that neither me nor my friends were German. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

The waitresses are really friendly, the price is normal. There is sky, so the most important sport events can be seen (mostly soccer) At the summertime you can sit outside. Recommended.

A pub with great service. Not your average one, way above average. Prices are fair, beer are standard ones you'l find in others around the city. Nothing mind blowing but still good for a drink.

Nice bar with a mixes crowd and grat outdoor area (no beer garden), but with action on the sidewalk.

Very cozy bar with perfect view of the Samariter Kirche. Smoking allowed :)
