This is where The von Humboldt Family lived. More places are still named after this Alexander von Humboldt than any person ever in the history of our world. His grave is here, as is the one of his brother Wilhelm, who founded Humboldt University.

Beautiful place, huge gardens. Nice place to walk and see amazing trees.

The castle itself isn't that impressive, but the grounds are great for a nice walk. There's an awesome knarly old tree that's hollow on the inside and you can also visit the grave of the two famous Humboldt brothers and all their relatives

The castle grounds offer a nice walk and there are some points of interest, like the big hollow tree and the park. And while the castle itself has little to offer, the horses in the back yard and forresty park set the feel for a nice escape from the city.

The way go to Schloss Tegel was blocked and locked. And it said the path is “private”. I didn’t know how to reach there.. need more information ℹ️

The Schloss isn't any great shakes, but their is a nice bit not woods you can walk in up to the Humboldt memorial.

Lovely place, needed some time to find it, as it is hidden in a quiet neighbourhood. Don't miss the old oak Fatty Betty nearby.
