Delicious bagels in Berlin and very friendly service. Accidentally found this lovely place. We had a pastrami sesame bagel with delicious aoli and a caramel bacon bagel, both amazingly delicious. An absolute recommendation. We finished our late breakfast with a perfect carrot cake for just 2,5€! Amazing! You can see everything on the pictures. Can take definitely keep up with New York bagels in Cape Town!!

Best damn bagel I've had since we moved from NYC. Service was friendly and awesome. Coffee was also good. We tracked way out of our way to come here and it was well worth the trip.

Magnificent, fresh bagels! The pastrami was so good I had to go for a second round. Very good coffee, nice outdoor seating and friendly staff. While the competition is pretty steep in this area, make sure to give Schlomo's a try :)!!

Been searching for a good bagel place since 2012. For years it's been difficult to find any that are even decent. After years of Berlin bagels being mediocre, Schlomos shows Berlin what's up

They make everything edible in house. That means fresh bagels that are soft and flavorful. I ordered a plain bagel with cream cheese and egg. Amazing.

Only downsides :There aren't a lot of seats and there's not that much room inside when busy. The bagels are a bit on the small side as well.

I hate to spoil the mood here but my opinion is "meh." As someone who has, over 30 years, eaten about ten thousand bagels from New York and northern New Jersey (even better nowadays) I can assure you that Schlomo's are pretty far off the mark. They are certainly not "authentic New York style" except in the sense that you can probably find fluffy white bread donuts somewhere in NYC, too. Maybe they're sold there as "authentic Berlin style." Another problem: way too stingy with the cream cheese and lox. Up your game, Schlomo.

Pictured below for reference: New Jersey bagels. Similar visually to Schlomo's, but eating them is a completely different experience.

Thanks for responding, Schlomo. In Manhattan I recommend Absolute Bagels on the Upper West Side, which are excellent. But don't miss Perrys Bagel Cafe in Paramus, New Jersey. Perry's bagels are insanely good.

We discovered Schlomo’s last summer. It became our comfort food spot while staying in Berlin. Coffee for me, cartoons for the kids, bagels for everyone. Extras for the road. The kids always asked to swing by on our way out for the day and I was happy to oblige.

We plan a move to Berlin this summer and can’t wait to taste Eddie’s (the baker) homemade bagels again. We’ll soon become regulars. Warning, you’ll know our order as soon as we walk through the door.

Okay, the bagels are really good. They're soft and so fresh. Their pastrami bagel is like eating heaven if heaven was made of pastrami, which I think is a legit possibility. The staff really seem to like their job and it shows with how they interact with customers. Oh and for a bagel place their coffee is great.
