Very nice experience. Kind and very helpful service. Pleasant atmosphere and good location near the river. Food was descent, but nothing outstanding. From what I ordered only the desert stood out. Overall a strong 4 stars with a great potential for 5.

The food was okay. The atmosphere of the restaurant was okay - they could have put more distance between our table and the ones beside us, which led to the waiter having to nearly stand directly beside me while serving the table beside us.
It was a nice experience as a one-off, but I doubt I’ll return as I don’t think it was worth the price.

Balthazar is a fine restaurant with a superb location. It blends a very cozy atmosphere with good food. The menu is daily, and specials are truly special. What we need from this restaurant like many others in Berlin, the adoption of 0km-farm to table/farm to fork concept/policy where we can trace ingredients and eat seasonal/local/regional/fair trade/ sustainable produce/products. I think Berlin deserves this.

Outstanding meal - big fan of the mushroom pasta, the scallops and the burrata. Excellent service and great location!

Excellent food and dishes. Staff is lovely and we had a very pleasant experience with the 3 dishes course.

The food was good, but they took over 1 hour and 20 minutes to bring the dishes to our table. The party of 10 in front of our table (party of 4) came after us and got their food delivered before us. I must add that at least 2 of them ordered similar if not the same dishes, meaning that cooking time was not a factor. Moreover, the waiter was not friendly and even rude. We are definitely not coming back and wouldn’t recommend it.

If you like great cuisine, professional service and the unique atmosphere down by the Spreeufer canal in the evening then you have come to the right place. Two days in a row we have eaten here and the conclusion is overwhelmingly positive. The Balthazar is the place to go in Berlin. No doubt.
