A small bar where everybody (gay, lesbian, straight, transgender, white or of colour, local or visitor) is welcome! There is only one rule there you need to know: be nice and friendly to the others and the others will be nice and friendly to you! Not very suitable for larger groups which want to stick together inside, the venue is too small for this. Newcomers can always count on a nice conversation with the regulars, so you don't need to hesitate to go there alone without knowing anybody. Special theme parties (like Oktoberfest, live DJ events etc) from time to time. In the summertime possibility to seat outside

Fantastic little bar! Bar staff very friendly, wasn't until I saw the poster on the wall that it was a gay bar but that didn't stop us! Brilliant service and reasonably priced. Would recommend to anyone

Call Mexikaner the shot of the weekend and evening. Our small bar in the middle of Prenzlauer Berg is something unique and special. Yes, it is a gay location but that only invites everyone to come around.
We are happy to welcome new people to the community and share the spirit of the location.
Have a open chat, get a good drink, drink one more and might try the 'Mecikaner'. we would describe it as YUMMY but you should find out by yourself.

Very cosy and charming queer corner bar. On warm days, seating in- and outside. Staff always friendly and up for a laugh.
Friends, however, complain about the pace being a smoker's place.

Nice lil gay bar...but like most gaybars in living areas, they need to close their terrace from 22:00 and keeping outside quiet otherwise the neighbours will call the police. ???? but still a great place for a drink and great service!

I have always fun when I come the Italian bartender is lovely, the other bartender that is German makes my days, and the owner is always super friendly. I love to come to this bar!
