Hotel with character. Rooms on the smaller side. Interesting location with a lot of International food available in the neighbourhood.

Clean hotel. At first you have to walk through an alley way of sorts and it seems quite sketchy. When you arrive at the hotel itself it Well lit and signs in both English and German. Rooms are good sizes bathrooms clean and simple. Very nice staff and good location 2 stops on the tram to Alexanderplatz.

Though the hotel approach is not convincing it's a good place to stay. The area around is dotted with interesting restaurants, cafes, bars and a few supermarkets. It's almost on the tram service and stop and is very convenient to get anywhere in Berlin. The hotel itself is in an old East German apartment block so many of the rooms are a good size. The rates too are reasonable, but try to book directly with the hotel to get an even better price. We like it and have stayed a number of times. The desk staff are very helpful.

Good low profile hotel. A little not fancy breakfast but still felt like home. The administration should be better at informing late arriving guest to be very quite and not wake up all in the building.

Good location, far from usual crowds of the Mitte, but easily accessible by tram. The room was clean, and the beds (two twin beds in a double room) were soft and comfortable. The entrance and the stairs may look run down and somewhat shady, particularly when one comes back to the hotel after dinner and has to pass through a dark backyard. There's no elevator, although one is being currently constructed - when a guest gets a room on 4th or 5th floor, any suitcases become a hurdle. The walls don't seem to be soundproof (there's absolutely no noise from the street, but we could perfectly hear someone rehearsing a music piece on the viola every evening from 7 to 10 p.m.).

The rooms are cute and clean, and the area is quiet with a lot of great shops and restaurants. The front desk staff were very helpful in locating (and returning!) a jacket that I left on a train. The hallways are a little lackluster, but who hangs out in the hallway anyways? ;P
