Important memorial. Unfortunately it's not impressive enough in my opinion, especially near the other memorials in the area.

Simple but powerful. I really love the gray color (like that time in history), contrast from the colorful rainbow that we use today.

This place is a bit hard to find, it is near the Murdered Jews Memorial. I absolutely loved this place, even though it's a single stone. There is a video you can see by a window in the stone, where you can see happy gay and lesbian couples kissing, which is really powerful and heartwarming.

The Memorial to the Homosexuals Persecuted Under the National Socialist Regime is an intriguing monument located at Tiergarten just opposite the Holocaust Memorial.

Designed by Michael Elmgreen and Ingar Dragset and unveiled in 2008, the memorial is a concrete cube which is slightly tilted or sagging towards one side. This creates an awkward shape and appearance that has the ability to make you stop and think about what you ar looking at. There is a window into the cube by which a film can be viewed. The film is of two kissing men.

Near the memorial there is signage which details the persecution of homosexual men and women during the previous century. This helps provide important context related to the memorial being viewed.

Lots of people seem to leave flowers at this site. It's a little off to the side and not very well illuminated, try to visit it during the day if you can. The monument has a little television inside that you can watch a short clip on. It seems customary to bring flowers to this location, I didn't notice any other types of gifts given on this area.
